This is the best homemade fresh salsa made with green goddess dressing. It is bursting with flavor and so easy to make! Green goddess salsa is excellent as a topping for any dish, a great healthy snack with some tortilla chips, and a party favorite for any gathering. This recipe will be on repeat every week throughout the summer.

Why You Will Love This Recipe

This fresh salsa with green goddess dressing is packed with flavors and you will want to make this over and over again and here is why:

  1. Family-favorite! The kids are grabbing the salsa for school and even eating it as a salad.
  2. Easy to make. In 20 minutes, there is a bowl of fresh veggies cut up to enjoy for a few days, that's if it lasts. Using a dicer will make this a breeze to make.
  3. Healthy for you. This salsa is all fresh vegetables, and the dressing is all fresh herbs. It's like a multivitamin that you actually enjoy.

Ingredients Needed

Tomatoes. Red tomatoes on the vine are my favorite grocery store tomatoes, but straight from your garden is even better.

Green Bell Peppers. The green bell pepper gives the salsa an authentic Mexican flavor.

Avocado. I love avocados for their nutrients. I know avocados can brown, but I did notice that lime helps keep the browning at bay.

Red onion. Red onions are sweeter than yellow onions and add the perfect color to the salsa.

How to Make Fresh Green Goddess Salsa

This is easy peasy lime squeezy to make (ha-ha).

I love this vegetable chopper! It is perfect for making this a really quick salsa-making experience. If you don't have one, grab on at your local target or this one from Amazon (my favorite one)

Dice all your ingredients and place into a bowl.

Make the Green Goddess Dressing. This is what makes the salsa a Green Goddess salsa and packs it with nutrients as well. It's so easy to make, literally 5 minutes or less.

Mix everything together, and voila! You have a heavenly, super-healthy salsa that will be a staple in your home.

Variations

  • If you don't have lime, lemon will do perfectly fine in this salsa. Just a little zest is what you need.
  • Any color bell pepper will work. Green bell pepper gives the authentic flavors, but choose your favorite or what you have on hand. It will alter the flavor a bit.
  • If you don't have red onion, you can use yellow onion. Just adjust the amount, as it is stronger in flavor.
  • Avocado can be omitted if you don't like them.
