This is the best homemade whipped cream recipe with only 3 ingredients! Not only is it really tasty, but it is a healthy whipped cream option.

Why You'll Love This Recipe
Easy to make. In less than ten minutes, you have whipped cream for your coffee, for pastries like coffee roll cakes, or simply to dip your strawberries.
No refined sugar. My original recipe for homemade whipped cream used refined sugar. After a 3-week no-refined-sugar diet, I learned my body felt better when I chose naturally sweetened ingredients, so I adjusted some of my recipes. This is one of the recipes that got a facelift and honey as the sweetener of choice.
Equipment Needed
- A stand up mixer with a whisk attachment or a hand-held mixer with a whisk-attachment will make the process much simpler and faster. Making whipped cream with a hand-whisk will take you a very long time to muscle up the texture for a stiff-peak whipped cream. This will help achieve that perfect whipped cream peaks you are looking for in an efficient way.
- Spatula. Scraping down the bowl and getting every bit of whipped cream is necessary.

Ingredients Needed:
Only 3 ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry and refrigerator. It's a simple way to make real whipped cream and so much better than any store-bought option.
Heavy cream. Use cold heavy cream with full-fat. Do not use low-fat heavy cream because it does not contain enough fat to thicken the whip to stiff peaks.
Honey. Sweeten the whipped cream with honey. Not only does it taste good, but it also makes it so much healthier.
Vanilla Extract. A little bit of vanilla goes a long way in this recipe. If you are not a fan of vanilla, you can always skip this ingredient. This is a great addition if you want vanilla flavored whipped cream.
How to Make Easy Whipped Cream
- Combine heavy cream, honey, and vanilla in the mixer bowl. Make sure the heavy cream is straight from the refrigerator. Cold heavy cream is best for making firm whipping cream.
- Whip the ingredients on low speed, gradually increasing to a higher speed, making sure the heavy cream doesn't splatter all over the kitchen. Once the whipped cream begins to thicken, turn the mixer to high. Whisk on high until the whipped cream is thick and rich.
- Stiff Peaks is what you are looking for. What does that mean? When you take the whisk-attachment off the mixer, the whipped cream forms a peak on the beater when holding the whisk-attachment with the whipped cream facing up.
- Serve with coffee, your favorite berries, dessert, or eat fresh whipped cream by the spoonful.

Alternatives or Variations
- If you need a dairy-free whipped cream option, you can use thick coconut milk. This will make a delicious coconut whipped cream.
- If you are not a fan of vanilla, you can leave that out. Honey, on its own, will add good flavor to the whipped cream and taste just as delicious.
- Instead of using honey, you can use maple syrup as another healthier alternative.

Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but I say that with hesitation. Without any actual stabilizer in the whip, it can lose its firmness. In this case, just whip lightly with a hand whisk to bring back to a rich and thick whipped cream.
