These homemade breakfast sausage patties are so easy to make at home. They are juicy and full of flavor, making this a quick 20-minute breakfast to make and have on hand throughout the week.

Why You Will Love These Breakfast Patties

Family favorite. The entire family enjoys these sausage patties all week. The flavor is not too spicy and is perfect for young kids.

Full of flavor. Each bite is juicy with a burst of flavor from the seasonings: no egg or breadcrumbs, pure ground pork.

Easy to meal plan. I make 2 lbs of sausage patties for the entire week to enjoy for the whole family. This is an easy way to plan your meals for the week to stay healthy.

Ingredients

The ingredients and seasoning are simple, and you probably have most of these on hand.

Ground Pork. Freshly ground pork from the supermarket works great. When you grind your own pork, you have more control over the fat content of your meat patties.

Seasonings. Salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, paprika, and oregano.

All the measurements for the ingredients are below on the recipe card.

How to Cook Pork Sausage Patties

For detailed instructions on how to cook the breakfast sausage patties, use the recipe card below. Here are some basics:

Place all ingredients into a bowl: ground pork and all seasonings. Mix well.

I like to use a large cookie scooper to help keep the sausage patties even and uniform in size. Press down the meat into a disc, making the middle thinner than the outside edges.

Using a cast iron skillet preheated on medium heat, add the sausage patties. Cook on each side for 3-5 minutes or until browned on both sides and the patties are thoroughly cooked.

Recipe FAQs

Are pork sausage patties healthy? This is an excellent source of protein to add to any meal. I would watch the fat content and sodium when consuming these. Two patties with eggs or egg whites are my favorite way to complement these patties.

What is the best way to cook pork breakfast sausage patties? There are many different ways to cook the breakfast patties: air fryer, pan-fry, grill, or oven. I used no oil in my cast iron pan, and the patties did not stick. This could be different if you are using a stainless steel pan. Just spray a little nonstick cooking oil before frying.

How to Store Breakfast Patties

Once the patties are completely cooled, place them in a container, cover with a lid, and store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.

These sausage patties can also be frozen. Place them in a Ziploc bag, date and label them, and store them in the freezer for 3-6 months.
